The 1921 carnival again featured Sydney and Reg Horne, this time outside James Wright & Co, Ironmongers, (and a good many other things besides). Ever keen to contribute to charity and the carnival, they ran a competition selling milk at 3d a quart, which each purchaser had to guess where the milk ran out! The lucky winner received a free supply of milk for a week.
The Kings Arms can be seen in the background. Sid and Reg Horne ran the Dartmoor Dairy and often during the summer they would dispatch one hundredweight of cream in their ‘cream by post’ business in just one day!
