John Tutcher had an ironmongers shop on the corner of St. James Street, Okehampton from the 1830’s to the 1870’s. The next owner was James Wright whose son James was responsible for the look of the building today. It remained an ironmongers up until the 1980’s under the names of Reeves and then Cole.
